I used to think life was about where you were going and how fast you got there. It’s taken many years and many experiences to realise that life is about the now. Living in the moment, without necessarily looking ahead and definitely not looking back — to quote Eckhart Tolle, it’s about the power of now.
After a tumultuous eight years, I have reached the point where I long for the simple things in life: butterflies dancing around summer hedgerows; uninterrupted morning contemplation, with a mug of tea in hand; conversations with friends…
I savour small rituals and mindful living…I long to live in a houseboat, with minimal ‘stuff’ and a connection to the water.
I mean, I realise this may make me sound a tad dull, but I’m actually incredibly excited about it.
I forged my career; got married; had kids; moved around a fair bit; found my creative home (blogging and writing); got divorced; started again; fell in love; found my zen; bought a house, beat cancer, truly started to love my own self and…here I am:
New blog. New me. New adventures to be had…
